Aroma Yoga Essential Oil Workshop Rhiannon — Hot Yoga For Life archive

Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Portland from 12:30-2:30PM

Come join Rhiannon for an afternoon of yoga infused with doTERRA essential oils. doTERRA represents one of the safest, most pure, therapeutic grade oils on the market today and can be used aromatically, externally and even internally.

We will explore how the use of essential oils can enhance our experience as we delve into the Koshas (subtle/energetic bodies) and their elemental essences (earth, water, fire, air, & ether). This will be a steady, deep, gentle practice aimed at bringing heightened awareness to how these energies flow in our bodies and lives and how we can, through a broader scope, understand how to invite balance. We will layer the oils and asanas throughout the practice and you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the experience and the oils afterwards.

About This Workshop Format

The workshop tradition at Hot Yoga For Life reflected broader Pacific Northwest yoga culture, where studio-based specialty events drew students from across the region. Practitioners traveled from Eugene, Salem, and southern Washington for specific workshop topics that weren't available locally. This regional draw built the studio's reputation as a serious destination for yoga study, complementing the local membership of weekly class regulars.

Specialty workshops at Hot Yoga For Life addressed topics that regular vinyasa classes couldn't cover adequately — inversion fundamentals requiring extended progressive work, aroma yoga combining essential oils with practice, acro and partner work building communication between practitioners, and the annual 108 sun salutations endurance event. Each workshop drew its own audience subset; some students attended every workshop while others came only for specific topics that matched their interests.
