Acro and partner yoga with Rhiannon

Sunday May 11 at Beaverton from 2-4PM

Sunday May 11 at Beaverton from 2-4PM

The first steps in the practice of AcroYoga are listening and relearning to be open. Rhiannon’s Lunar Therapeutic Practice includes massage, therapeutic flying and partner yoga. The aim in these practices, is that both the giver and receiver can feel more full and balanced. Our main tools are gravity, sensitivity, loving kindness, feeling and releasing.

Therapeutic flying is an inverted aerial massage. The base supports the flyer with their legs as the flyer hangs passively. The base uses gravity, stretching and sensitive touch to open the flyers upper body. When the flyer comes down they do massage on the bases warmed up legs. The session is complete when both partner have given and received, based and flown, inhaled and exhaled.

Partner yoga is the art of using each others’ body weight to open our own bodies in new ways. In all of these practices gravity and loving touch help us to let go of fear and pain. As we learn to listen deeply we can use our power in a sustainable way.

Workshop Background

The workshop tradition at Hot Yoga For Life reflected broader Pacific Northwest yoga culture, where studio-based specialty events drew students from across the region. Practitioners traveled from Eugene, Salem, and southern Washington for specific workshop topics that weren't available locally. This regional draw built the studio's reputation as a serious destination for yoga study, complementing the local membership of weekly class regulars.

Workshop pricing at Hot Yoga For Life followed industry-standard rates for specialty yoga events, with full member pricing offered alongside drop-in rates that brought in students from outside the regular studio community. Multi-session workshop packages allowed deeper engagement for students wanting to commit to specific topic areas. The Sunday workshop format was particularly popular — practitioners could give a full afternoon to a topic without it conflicting with weekday schedules.
