Based on his popular workshop last Spring, Chris is offering his inverting experience and techniques again this March. If you’re interested in arm balances and inversions, but don’t know where to start, this workshop will help you lay the foundation for lifting, lowering, hopping, floating, holding…. and maybe a little bit of tumbling (we all come back down to earth one way or another).

Week 1: March 26: Balance, Strength and Stillness

Week 2 April 2: Transitions, Variations and Moving with Control

Specialty Workshop Tradition

Hot Yoga For Life's workshop program was a signature element of the studio's offerings beyond regular classes. Workshops typically ran 2-4 hours rather than the standard 75-minute class format, giving instructors space to develop themes in depth that wouldn't fit a regular session. The workshop calendar mixed visiting international teachers (Andrey Lappa, others) with senior local faculty leading specialty topics, creating variety while maintaining the studio's teaching standards.

The workshop tradition at Hot Yoga For Life reflected broader Pacific Northwest yoga culture, where studio-based specialty events drew students from across the region. Practitioners traveled from Eugene, Salem, and southern Washington for specific workshop topics that weren't available locally. This regional draw built the studio's reputation as a serious destination for yoga study, complementing the local membership of weekly class regulars.
